What to Expect When Attending our Church

A Warm Greeting

Each Sunday you will find greeters in worship and at the front entrance to welcome you and answer any questions you may have. Please take a moment during worship to share your information with us on a Connection Card located in the pew pockets and place it in the offering basket so that we can follow up with you after your visit.

Sunday Morning Schedule

We offer three opportunities for you to worship with us each Sunday, as well as Faith Formation classes for adults at 9:45.

FirstLight Worship Service begins at 8:45am. The music leadership is provided by the Prophets Band with acoustic instrumentation including guitar, banjo, drums, and keyboard. You will find a “Kid’s Place” area, which is a space created especially for young children and their caregivers.

Family Worship gathers at 10:00am for an informal service for all ages, but especially appropriate for children and their caregivers. We meet outside in the courtyard in good weather or inside in fellowship hall.

Our 11:00am service includes beautiful music offered by our Chancel choir and is typically accompanied by organ and piano.

FirstLight and 11:00 utilize a similar liturgy and the same sermon is preached. The Lord’s Supper is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month and our special A Quarter a Meal Offering is collected on the last Sunday of the month.

For Kids

Nursery care is provided for children from birth through two years of age during all of our worship services. Find the nursery in the Education Wing of the church on the main floor. Staff are there to assist families and find the right room for their children and get them signed-in.

We offer enrichment opportunities for children during the 11:00am worship hour. In the sanctuary worship service at 11:00am three-year-olds through third graders remain in worship until after Faith Sharing. They may then choose to exit with designated leaders to Extended Session (age three-Kindergarten) or Godly Play (first-third graders) for worship-related activities, September through May.

Adult Faith Formation Classes

Faith Formation classes begin at 9:45am on Sunday mornings. Click the block below for a description of classes
