Jesus commanded his
disciples to go and
make other disciples
of all nations, to
baptize them in the
name of the Father,
and of the Son, and
of the Holy Spirit,
to teach them His
truth and to obey
all He had commanded
them. (Matthew
28:18).
Jesus also
reminded them that
when He was hungry
they gave Him food,
when He was thirsty
they gave Him drink, and when He was a
stranger they had
welcomed Him and for
this they would
inherit the kingdom
of God. (Matthew
25:34).
At
our church in Black
Mountain we believe
the message of the
New Testament that
we also are called
by God
to proclaim
the Good News of
Jesus Christ, to
teach that truth, to
nurture our
Christian community
in Him, and to
become His Servant
People. At the
Black Mountain
Church we believe
that Mission and
Service are two
sides of Christ’s
love. Our
Presbyterian Church
(USA)
declares that by its
very nature as a
church , it is a
missionary society
whose purpose is to
share the love of
God in Jesus Christ
in both word and
deed.”
In mission, our
church, through its
prayers and
dedicated dollars
supports our sister
